Highest Weight Ever: 75 kg
Last weeks Weight: 70.2 kg
Current Weight: 70.2 kg

No change. Expected worse considering last week was super super hectic and stressful. I honestly did not have any time to exercise or plan healthy meals. just ate whatever and whenever I could grab. I was physically and emotionally tired with loads of work and the death of a close family friend. Every inch of my body ached and I had a non stop head ache for 3 days.
Ive just about recovered I think but could have actually gotten back to exercising yday. But once the rhythm is broken i really need to kick myself to get back to it.

Wednesday Weigh-in

I'm feeling ok about it considering my bad eating and lack of exercise of the last few weeks. Trying to get back on it. Did Level 2 of The Shred today and it actually felt good. was doing ok with the food till evening. Had to go for a meeting and got back late starving and just overate!. Today I installed the Myfitnesspal app on my phone to track my calories. Ive tried this online at Livestrong on and off but never stuck to it. Let's see how this goes.

Tuesday - Attempt to exercise


Today I had half an hour to kill while waiting for my husband. I thought why not take a walk instead of staring into the computer as I would normally do. So I did and was glad.
Its been a while since I weighed in but I've decide to change my weigh-in days to Wednesdays.

Monday - A new start

Ashamed to say it's been almost a month since I posted last. And a good month it hasnt been diet and exercise-wise. I seem to have totally lost focus on my plan and generally been indulging and absolutely no exercise.
Although I'm relieved that although I havent lost any weight I have not gained any.

Weigh-in Monday

Yes I disappeared again!!
I had a crazy surprise this morning. But first let me give my weight update.
Since I missed last Monday's weigh in post I'll put down those numbers as well.
Monday  - 23rd July   - 70.4 kg (Thanks to the food poisoning! I was down by more than a kg.)
Monday -  30th July  - 71.2( thanks to the careless eating, no exercise and general indulgence)
Though I only record my weekly weigh-ins I do weigh myself everyday, sometimes even twice a day!! Some people say you shouldn't keep weighing yourself so often, but I find I really need it.
So I stepped on the scales in this morning and was shocked beyond belief to see the scale touch the 60s for the first time in MONTHS maybe a year even!!!!

Tuesday -  31st July - 69.9!!!

How bizzare is that?! I do feel motivated to be good and exercise this week. I restarted the Shred this morning.

I really let go on the weekend and ate all sorts ranging from biryani to Tandoori Chicken to lots of trifle pudding that I made.(how can I not eat it?)

High Time

Im back! And it's about time!!

I had the most wonderful long weekend with my four besties from school. Could've been better had 3 of us not been down with severe food poisoning!! It's almost as if it happened to prevent me from eating all that yummy food at the resort that we stayed at. It was quite awful for almost 2 days, the only plus side being that when I got back I was a kilo lighter! haha. I mean once my appetitite was back the scales quickly started inching up.

I've been lazy and bad since I got back on Monday. The first 2 days I just ate whatever, I was just so happy I could eat again. I even gave in to chocolate. Wednesday I went back to being careful. But I am yet to restart my exercising.

Just been feeling soo sleepy and finding it imposs to get up in the mornings.
I really want to start walking/running. Wish I had company! Lemon wish you lived nearby :(
I really need to focus on getting back on track. Here's what I ate yesterday

Weigh-in Monday

Weighed myself today and boohoo... guess what? have gained a kilo! :(
I strayed a little from my good eating habits last week but still nothing like what I used to eat. And look what happens. Sooo easy to put on the weight but taking it off !!
So decided to try to stick to fruits and veggies for 3 days as I'm going on a little holiday this weekend. It's a girls getaway with my 4 dearest friends in the world. We've been friends for over 25 years and though lives and distance keep us from meeting that often, when we do meet we can pick up just where we left off.
So being good about my food is going to be really really hard. But am going to give it my best. Normally I would just not give it a thought happily indulge in anything and everything.  Our love and weakness for chocolate and desserts is a big thing among the 5 of u and whenever we meet it almost always involves chocolate something!
I'm off on Thursday morning and back on Monday morning. So won't be blogging either for 4 days.
What I can do is try and do some walking. Cos we're going to a beautiful resort in the jungle, the perfect setting to enjoy a good walk.

Help me I'm falling

Not been the best last few days. Slacked off on updating the blog. Also ate all sorts of unhealthy crap  yesterday cos I hadnt gone grocery shopping and there was not one thing to cook at home. So dug into the freezer for whatever rubbish I could find. felt terrible after I ate it of course. Plus I was meeting a friend who was visiting and we went out for dinner to a chinese place. But I did manage to get my workout in.
Here's what I ate on Saturday.

The reason why...

Don't know why I'm feeling so exhausted all the time. My enthusiasm to stay on track is waning a bit and I need to find a way to boost it back up. I missed my workout today. :( Bad I know and ended up eating a little junk here and there.

I'm going to list down the top reasons why I want to lose weight and maybe that will remind me and get me back on track.
Here goes

1. I want to have another baby 
I need to be healthy and fit to do that. If I get pregnant at this weight I cant even imagine how huge I would be full term. Imagine being 90 kg and trying to lose that weight!! nohohoo

2. I want to be in good health for the long run.
Don't want all sorts of aches and pains and other diseases like diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol etc. all which run in my family. I HATE taking medication.

3. And of course I want to look hot!! :)
I don't want my 30's to fly by with me being a fatty. My last chance to look good and fit before I'm officially middle aged. I want to wear a swimsuit and not be so self conscious that I quickly jump in the pool when no one is looking. I want to be able to wear sexy dresses and tops with straps and halters. (I have never ever been able to)

Weigh-in Monday

And the numbers are in!!
70.8 kgs!! That's 2 kgs less than last Monday.
Couldn't be more thrilled.Was still too tired to exercise this morning so put it off for the evening. Went on to Level 3 of The Shred and Oh My God! Is it a killer or what? Wasnt able to do some of the moves properly but hoping I cope up by the end of the week.
Setting goals. That seems to be something all weight loss strategies advise. So I decided to set some goals too with much difficulty because the fear of failing is just so high. I've set a rather ambitious goal. But only if you dream big can you achieve big I guess.
Long term goal - To lose 20 kgs by the end of this year. (almost laughable even to myself !)
My goal for the end of four weeks was to reach 70 kg, which looks like I might actually reach if I keep it up.
Also
• Exercise at least 5 times a week
• Eat at least one fruit a day
• And of course to maintain the food journal.

Lazy Sunday

Had a really late night on Saturday so slept in and then took my mom shopping. Was too tired to exercise. Though I'm hoping all the dancing I did for hours on Saturday night will make up for it. Nothing eventful. Was so hungry and I let myself have some rice and curry. Tomorrow is weigh-in day!

Saturday Night Fever

Yippee! I am so proud of myself for getting through the party on Sat night with eating only about 5 pieces of short eats and that too completely avoided the deep fried ones. Normally I might have easily popped at least 15-20 pieces without giving it a second thought. And for dinner I had one small egg roll. I did drink some vodka but had it with tonic and soda instead of coke. Bit think I am going to completely avoid any alcohol till Decemeber.

Went and got myself a haircut which is always a mood lifter and makes me feel good about myself. Also the few compliments  I got did help as well. :)

Mind your own beeswax!


Where do people get off judging what you eat or don't eat?? The minute people think you're on some sort of  "diet" suddenly they are the diet police. "Ahh you think that's low calorie?" "That's not diet food" People who know nothing about you. People who have no clue what you ate for breakfast or dinner or what activity you did that day. People who have no clue what kind of plan you're on! But they know enough to tell you shouldn't be eating something. Mocking your attempt to eat healthy.
And people who constantly goad, attack and mock vegetarians!! Don't even get me started on them!! Get over it people.
Anyway it's all a bit annoying when you're trying hard to do something and people are just trying to sabotage you.
I gave in a little today and had a wee bit of biryani. Yes I caved. I'm really terrified of the weekend especially the party I'm going to tomorrow. I'm going to try hardest to not eat any of the short eats!
I think I should have dinner and go so that I'm not famished and end up binging.

I'm really bad at titles

I started out today on a positive note but ended it feeling pretty depressed. When I weighed myself this morning I was thrilled to find I was a kg lighter than yesterday! I know it still cannot be counted as lost until I have the same reading consistently for a few days. Because I easily fluctuate a kilo up and down. Anyhoo had a boring day at work and decided to go shopping for a dress. I have this party to go to on Saturday and felt like getting something new. I haven't bought anything in a while. Also I'm pretty sure every single woman there will be half my size and dressed to the hilt. But after scouring about 6 stores over 2 hours and trying on a handful of dresses that actually fit me, I had NOTHING!!! I left the mall feeling super low and depressed. But the good thing is, this time, I did not use that as an excuse to buy myself some unhealthy, fatty comfort food only to regret it the minute I've finished eating it. I had gone prepared with an apple and guava to snack on and I did.

Yet another try.

So here I am in my nth attempt at losing all this weight I've put on in the last 10 years!
I just feel like giving up every single day but every once in a while something in the back of my head keeps telling me I can't. Today I was chatting with my sister and I told her "I think I'm going to be fat for the rest of my life. The only thing I can do is to try not to get fatter." And soon after I said that I was just so taken aback by myself! Why would I say such a thing? Why do I have to be fat forever?
Am I not capable of giving myself a healthy body and life? What I said really depressed the hell out of me.  Anyway that's what spurred off this blog.
I hope to record my weightloss journey(assuming there is one). There are times when I really feel motivated and then there are those other times.
I've read and heard a 100 different people saying that keeping a food journal is essential to weightloss. I've tried and never stuck to it for more than a few days.
So here I am trying once more.
